In spite of US illegal and destructive sanctions imposed against the Islamic Republic of Iran, Russia will make its utmost efforts to maintain and develop financial-economic cooperation with the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ulyanov emphasized.
Speaking in an IAEA meeting on Friday, he stated, “at the condition that Tehran pursuits its obligation within the framework of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) with its rational policy, measures taken by the United States against Iran is deeply concerned and disappointing.”
He thanked the director general of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) for the provision of a comprehensive report on monitoring and inspecting Iran in the field of implementation of UNSC Resolution 2231 and added, “International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has repeatedly reaffirmed Iran’s sully compliance with JCPOA, Safeguards Agreement and Additional Protocol.”
The high-level cooperation between Iran and IAEA is a solid evidence for this claim that Iran’s nuclear deal provided its legitimacy which ensures full and peaceful nature of Iran’s nuclear program, Russia’ UN envoy stipulated.
US pullout from JCPOA, imposition of tough economic sanctions on Iran, measures taken by US government to counter trade and business cooperation of third countries with Iran, etc. cannot help strengthen non-proliferation of nuclear weapons.
Ulyanov added, “we are confident that JCPOA is strong enough, so that other countries remained in the deal enjoy high capability to resolve problems.”
